Communicate with soldiers. Send care packages. Help soldiers re-integrate upon their return from deployment. Hold a holiday party for their families.

JOIN US IN MAKING A PERSONAL DIFFERENCE FOR OUR SOLDIERS!

Past-President Dick Eisenach has asked us to get personally involved to make a difference. For many, that is a difficult assignment to find a way to make a difference.       YOU NOW HAVE AN ANSWER!

The Arizona National Guard has deployed to Afghanistan for about a year. There are about 158 young Arizonans away from home in a strange land, putting their necks on the line for our Country.

We are signing up Rotary 100 members to correspond by e-mail or slow mail at least once a month (more often if possible) with a specific soldier while they are away.

One-on-one contact that makes more difference than I hope you will ever know.   A card, a note, a small package from time to time, a photo from Arizona are the little things that mean so much to a soldier at mail call. It’s the envelope with your name on it that tells a soldier a long way from home that they are not forgotten.
